Jio World Plaza (JWP), a brand-new luxury retail destination in Mumbai, was opened by Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL). Showcasing high-end brands like Balenciaga, Tory Burch, YSL, and Versace, this new mall will serve the growing wealthy customer base in India.

The Jio World Plaza, which is located in the prestigious Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), will easily merge with the Jio World Convention Center, the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, and Jio World Garden, according to a statement from the oil-to-telecom giant that also runs the biggest retail store in the nation.
The JWP, which was created as a center for entertainment, shopping, and eating, will be home to a number of international businesses making their Indian debuts. These brands include Rimowa, EL&N Café, Pottery Barn Kids, Samsung Experience Center, Giorgio Armani Café, and Balenciaga.
Customers in Mumbai get the chance to visit the first locations of companies like Valentino, Tory Burch, YSL, Versace, Tiffany, Ladurée, and Pottery Barn. There will also be prominent flagships from well-known brands including Giorgio Armani, Bulgari, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Bally, and Dior.
Prominent Indian designers will also be featured at JWP, including Manish Malhotra, Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, Rahul Mishra, Falguni and Shane Peacock, and Ri By Ritu Kumar.

JWP’s launch is in line with India’s growing wealthy consumer base. According to a 2023 Knight Frank “Wealth Report,” over the next five years, the number of ultra-high-net-worth people (UHNWI) in India—those with net worths over $30 million—is expected to climb by 58.4%, reaching 19,119 by 2027. It is projected that by 2027, there would be 195 billionaires, up from 161 in 2022.
Through fashion shows and special collections, international companies have increased their visibility in India in recent years.

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. (ABFRL) introduced premium department stores and a unique e-commerce platform in India last year through a partnership with Galeries Lafayette, a luxury retailer situated in Paris.
